Dr. Shah earned her M.D. at Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio while also earning a Masters Degree in Bioethics. She trained in Internal Medicine at Evanston Northwestern Hospital and then completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Northwestern University in Chicago. Her Fellowship training included exposure to a wide spectrum of allergy, sinus and asthma issues along with cultivating an interest in environmental allergens.
Her passion for Allergy and Immunology developed when she saw the impact of allergies on her own sister's quality of life. She became interested in learning about the science behind why allergies occur conducting research for multiple years. Her true passion for the practice of allergy came as she interacted with patients and was able to tease out the root of their allergic disease and determine an individualized treatment plan. This individualized approach in the treatment of her patients forms the cornerstone of Dr. Shah's practice.
Dr. Shah has over 10 years of experience in clinical research. She has served as Principal Investigator at Asthma and Allergy Center of Chicago since 2018.
